Parakova, LLC (“Parakova,” “we,” “us”) builds and operates AI software platforms, including MirrorBoard, Appraisal IQ and Comp IQ (the “Platforms”), and the website parakova.ai (together with the Platforms, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to visitors to our websites, people who contact us or join a waitlist, and the organizations that use our Platforms along with their authorized users. When a company uses a Platform, that company controls the business data it connects, and we process that data on the company’s behalf under our agreement with it.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us, join a waitlist or create an account, we collect details such as your name, work email, company, role and the products you’re interested in, along with anything you choose to tell us. If you contact support, we keep a record of that conversation.
Business data from connected systems
When an authorized user connects a system such as QuickBooks, Stripe, payroll or a CRM, we access the financial and operational data needed to provide the Platform. This can include transactions, invoices, accounts, balances, customers, employees, payroll records and usage data. These connections are read-only by default.
Content you submit
We process questions you ask Alistair or other AI features, and files or information you submit to a Platform. Appraisal IQ reads appraisal report files in your browser and does not store them on our servers.
Information collected automatically
Like most online services, we receive technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, and log data about how the Services are accessed. We use it to operate and secure the Services. Our website stores your light or dark display preference in your browser’s local storage. [We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.]
3. How we use information
- To provide and operate the Services, including dashboards, briefings, projections and recommendations.
- To respond to inquiries and waitlist requests.
- To secure the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
- To send service, security and account messages, and, if you agree, occasional product updates you can opt out of at any time.
- To comply with law and enforce our agreements.
We do not use client business data for advertising.
4. AI processing
To answer questions and generate insights, our AI features send your question and the relevant business data to our AI processing provider, [AI provider], under terms that do not permit it to use that data to train its models. Parakova does not use client business data to train AI models. AI output can be inaccurate, so verify important information before relying on it.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information or client business data, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only:
- With service providers that help us run the Services, such as hosting ([Netlify]), database ([Supabase]), AI processing ([AI provider]), payments ([Stripe]) and email, under agreements that limit their use of the data.
- Within your organization, according to the access your company grants its users.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, Parakova or others.
- As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
6. Data from Intuit QuickBooks
When you connect QuickBooks, we use that data only to provide the Platform features you have chosen. We do not sell QuickBooks data or use it for advertising. You can disconnect QuickBooks at any time from the Platform or from your Intuit account. After you disconnect, we stop accessing your QuickBooks data and delete the data we copied within [X] days, unless you ask us to keep it or the law requires us to.
7. How we protect information
Each client’s data is isolated at the database level with row-level security. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access tokens for connected systems are stored in an encrypted vault and never sent to the browser, and access is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected clients of a security incident as required by law.
8. How long we keep information
We keep account and business data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. We keep contact and waitlist submissions for up to [X] months. When an account closes, we delete its data within [X] days, except where we must keep certain records for legal, tax or security reasons. Backups are deleted on a regular schedule.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and you can opt out of marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live, including California, Nevada and other U.S. states, you may have additional rights, and we will not treat you differently for using them. Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information, and you may send an opt-out request to the address below. Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of parakova.ai and the software platforms operated by Parakova, LLC (“Parakova,” “we,” “us”), including MirrorBoard, Appraisal IQ and Comp IQ (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that company. If your company has signed an order form or services agreement with Parakova, that agreement controls where it differs from these Terms.
1. The Services
Parakova provides AI-powered software that organizes business data and generates analysis, projections and recommendations. We may add, change or remove features over time. We will give clients reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what they have paid for.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 and using the Services for business purposes. Keep your login details confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the users you authorize.
3. Your data
You own the data you submit or connect to the Services (“Customer Data”). You give Parakova permission to host, copy, process and display Customer Data only as needed to provide, secure and support the Services for you. We may use de-identified, aggregated information about how the Services are used, which does not identify you or your company, to operate and improve them. You confirm you have the right to connect and share the Customer Data you provide. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
4. Connected services
The Services can connect to third-party systems such as QuickBooks, Stripe and payroll providers. By connecting one, you authorize us to access it on your behalf. Your use of those systems is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or accuracy.
5. AI features and no professional advice
Alistair and other AI features provide information and recommendations for general informational purposes. They are not financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting or appraisal advice, and they may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for your decisions and should verify important information and consult qualified professionals. The Services do not move money, file documents or send messages on your behalf.
Comp IQ produces value estimates for investment analysis. They are not appraisals, do not comply with appraisal standards such as USPAP, and must not be used for lending decisions. Appraisal IQ assists with quality control and commentary; the appraiser remains solely responsible for every report and for compliance with USPAP and applicable law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for anything unlawful, or submit content you don’t have the right to share.
- Access accounts or data that aren’t yours, or try to bypass security or usage limits.
- Reverse engineer, copy or resell the Services, or use them to build a competing product.
- Upload malware, overload the Services, or scrape them by automated means.
- Share logins outside the users your company has authorized.
7. Fees and payment
Paid Services are billed according to your order form or the pricing shown when you subscribe, and payments are processed by our payment provider. Fees exclude taxes, which you are responsible for. If payment is overdue, we may suspend access after notice. [Refund and cancellation terms.]
8. Intellectual property
Parakova owns the Services, including the software, designs and content we provide. Parakova, MirrorBoard, Appraisal IQ and Comp IQ are trademarks of Parakova, LLC. These Terms don’t give you any rights to our trademarks. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
9. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other’s non-public business information with reasonable care and use it only to perform under these Terms.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time, subject to any commitment in your order form. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the security of the Services or other users. After termination, you may request an export of your Customer Data for [30] days, after which we delete it as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
Except as stated in a signed agreement, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parakova will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Parakova’s total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid Parakova for the Services in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you have paid nothing.
13. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Parakova against third-party claims arising from your Customer Data, your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify clients in advance. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept them.
16. General
These Terms, together with any order form and our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Parakova about the Services. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger or sale of our business. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
